Sabre was our special boy and will forever be in our hearts. He excelled in and out of the show ring. He was never heavily campaigned but in his long show career spanning 8 years he was three times Dog Challenge winner at RR Specialties under international specialist judges, gaining two Runner-Up In Shows and Best in Show and Multiple Best Head and Best Gait awards. He also won Best in Show Hound Club and Dog Challenge at the Sydney Royal, numerous Best In Groups, Class In Groups and In Shows awards.
He sired two Best in Show All Breeds winning progeny, Ch Voorloper Vagabond who also had numerous class wins, Best Ridge and Best Head awards at specialty level and the top winning Gr Ch Bearstar Chilean Willow ROM. His name appears in the pedigrees of champions in Europe, England and USA.
He passed away peacefully at home just a few weeks before his 14th birthday.
