Aust Ch, Am Ch Baliwick Bacchus (Imp USA)
Charlie’s credentials speak for themselves. At the age of 8 months he gained his American title just after he won Best Opposite in Show (Runner Up in Show) at the prestigious Poodle Club of America 2014 under world renowned poodle specialist judge Mr Louis Aizcorbe.
Mr Aizcorbe's critique
“Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed was awarded to Baliwick Bachus, a gorgeous brown Toy puppy dog, out of the American Bred class, that caught my eye during Best of Breed competition. The fact that he previously had to yield to the Standard bitch in no way diminished my admiration for this dog that showed like a seasoned contender in spite of his youth. His bone to size proportion, of particular importance in his variety, is ideal; his head, eye and expression are beautiful. He presented me with the best combination of style, type, balance and movement in the ring, which is most difficult to achieve for one of his variety, and the main reason why I had no hesitation in selecting him over his more mature competitors.
On his way to Best Opposite in Show Charlie was judged by another world renowned poodle specialist Mr Dana Plonkey who awarded him Winners Dog and Best of Variety.
Mr Plonkey's critique
My Winners Dog was a lovely brown puppy dog that came from the American Bred class Baliwick Bacchus. This puppy was a stand out the minute he walked into the ring... I could hardly take my eyes off him. He has such wonderful presence about him, and I wasn't a bit disappointed once I had him on the table and went over him. He has a beautiful head, dark almond eyes with the nice chiselling which made for a lovely expression. His outline on set up was spectacular, squarely built, lovely length of neck, with nice leg under him, standing on nice feet, level top line and great tail set. He has nice straight front legs and is nicely let down in the rear. His handler had him put down to the nines. On top of all this, he moved like I love to see a Poodle move: soundly coming and going with just enough reach and drive to still be Poodley.
We can’t than Ianthe Bloomquist enough for entrusting this stunning little man to us.
