Like everyone else we can also boast many accolades and have also been in the breed for many many years we believe our primary efforts should be to focus on breeding not only beautiful Malamutes, but as good specimens physically and mentally as were originally found in Alaska. It isn’t a question of breeding a better Malamute, but as good an Alaskan Malamute. When specific attention is paid to the malamute’s necessary type features and soundness, including temperament exhibiting this breed will provide a positive and continuing contribution to the improvement of the Alaskan Malamute and will ensure the perpetuation of dogs that can function as sled dogs in the Arctic.
We are a very small kennel that will not substitute breed standard for anything and will only exhibit the best of the best, as second best is just not good enough. Our dogs have outstanding temperaments, are sound, balanced and are true representatives of the working breed. We obtain hip, elbow, eyes, thyroid and AMCA CHD clearances for our dogs.

Although mostly involved with Alaskan Malamutes, we cant seem to stay away from other Spitz breeds either so we also have history with Norwegian Elkhounds and more recently, the Shiba Inu.

Poldara is a small kennel established in 1991 with the local coucil and C.C.C. qld.[t/as 'Dogsqueensland' ]

I got my first malamute in 1990 and fell in love with the breed.
Since then I have titled 4 Aust. Champions, 1 being from my first litter , the other is now the mother of my 2nd litter of which 2 are now Aust.Champs.

I breed mainly for myself for show dogs/breeding program and desex any pets which are sold to good homes.

I am not BIG in the show scene but I am BIG on doing the best for my dogs!

My Mals are eye tested, thyroid, hip and elbow checked and are AMCA.CH'D certified before being bred from.

All pups come with a starter puppy pack and lots of information on the breed.
