| My partner Alex and I are both 30 yr old professionals, and have just emigrated from the UK - I am a dual Aussie citizen and Alex is in the process of applying for partner residency. We plan to make Melbourne our home for at least 4 years and are ideally looking for a property to rent for 12 months in or around Melbourne with a view a extend. We're property owners / landlords ourselves in London, and having had our own property that we renovated to a very high standard, we are looking for a place to rent here that is in good condition that we can maintain to an excellent level and treat like home. We arrived in Melbourne only a week ago so are in the process of lining up work to start once we have a rental property secured. Alex specialises in IT Service Delivery / Account Management, and I specialise in large scale Program / Change Management. We can provide evidence of earnings in the UK and substantial savings in Aus / UK accounts, and happy to pay 3 months or more rent upfront! We have 2 medium dogs we brought over from the UK - both 3 yrs old, they are friendly, fully house trained and well behaved; do not make noise when left alone. References available from a house we rented with them in London. We are happy to pay a larger bond for reassurance, and invest in appropriate covering for wooden flooring if desired. Personal references and a reference from a property rented in Perth, Australia also available if desired. We're flexible as to the suburb - although ideally somewhere where there are cafes / restaurants nearby - and also location to the city / access to public transport will be advantageous. We like Carlton, Hawthorn, South Yarra, Richmond, St Kilda, etc etc.. We do need a reasonable size outdoor yard and intend to set up a removable run / kennel to enable the dogs to be outside wherever possible. We're probably therefore looking for a house with 2 - 4 bedrooms, and location to parks / areas for walking the dogs off leash would be ideal.
