Wanted - Pet Transport Driver
| We have a position vacant as a driver. Would suit a retired/semi retired person who (of course) understands animals and is responsible in their handling. It would be on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays - and involves the pick up and delivery of Mornington Lodge guests (dogs and cats, and sometimes my mum from South Yarra:))) It is always in the mornings (on the road by 7.30am) and at times there are two runs into the City on the same day. The successful applicant will have an excellent driving record, be good with clients (as often you are the only person our clients have met from here), be good with dogs/cats, punctual, reliable and have a fair knowledge of this side of Melbourne (Brighton/Toorak/Richmond etc areas) so as to able to work out the routes in advance so that we can ring clients with their pick up/delivery times 48 hours prior. As we already have two drivers (one is moving to maintenance full time here) the position would be for 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off. This could change to more depending on circumstance. | Hi! My family and I were living in Drouin West and had the Black Saturday Bush fires sweep over the dog-friendly property that we were renting with our beautiful Golden Retrievers. We have moved into Drouin township, but are unable to keep the dogs that we wish to here. We pay close to $300 now to live in town, are reliably employed and very responsible with rental payments. We are seeking a dog-friendly property, hopefully zoned rural to allow at least the 5 dogs, as a couple of our dogs are still being homed by family members. We would prefer closer to Drouin, but will consider anything within an hour of Dandenong, which is where my husband works. We have 4 children also, so a largish house is a must, but older is fine, a small farmlet would be ideal, but a decent sized yard in a rural zoned house would work well, too.
