Ballare Kennels (previously known Ballure Kennels) established in 1962. I commenced judging in Group 5 in 1968 with appointments in NSW and Victoria. The most successful sire for Ballure Kennels in our early days was Ch Weerona King, numerous of his highly successfull progeny have been shown and bred from in Australia and in Europe. Ballure Kelpies are the founding lines for many Australian and overseas Kelpie kennels.

With a profound love of this wonderful breed I became a Specialist Australian Kelpie Breed Judge in 1985. I've been successful in attaining judging appointments for speciality shows both in NSW and Victoria. I have also had the honor of judging our wonderful breed overseas Sweden and Finland and again in 08 in Finland and New Zealand.

Currently Ballare Kennels exported two beautiful bitches to Europe. Champion Ballare Woo Waa (now an International Champion)to Finland and since September 08 Australian Champion Ballare Mugungalyi to Holland. Both of the girls exported have excellent International hip/elbow scores and are of exceptional temperament and type.

Our foundation bitch Aust. Ch. Lyndoor Sleepy Sam ET HT FM CCD, "Abby" comes from both KLA and Callicoma lines. She has been involved in Agility, Obedience and Herding as well as being a Flyball Champion in only three competitions. She has had a very successful show career.
Most importantly she is a loyal companion.

Abby passed her Delta Therapy Dog test in 2010, and will begin visiting sydney nursing homes in 2011. This is proof of her versatility and steady temperament.

Pups from her first litter are doing well in the show ring, and are also in training in flyball and agility.


We will not be having any future kelpie litters here at Jumabaar until we can test for Haemophilia A on our dogs of unkown carrier status.

Dewregal stopped breeding Kelpies for a number of years to concentrate on Australian Cattle Dogs. In 2008 we hope to be breeding from Ch Kagaru L.E. who is a lovely chocolate bitch who has consistently won in all show classes from Baby in Show right through to Open in Show.

L.E. has won Best in Show (All Breeds) and Runner Up in Shows in both All Breeds and Specialty Shows in Qld and NSW. She has won multiple Best In Group.

L.E. has been successfully handled by Child Handlers with the children taking out first place with her, so she is heavily in demand with up and coming child handlers. Sam her owner and handler has been winning Child Handler competitions with her over the years and took out the 2006 Brisbane RNA Child Handler of the Year under 13 handling L.E.

L.E. has won Best of Breed at the Brisbane Royal. She has also won the ACD&K Club of Qld Inc Kelpie Pointscore 4 times in row since she became eligible to compete.

L.E. is a typical highly intelligent kelpie with energy to burn. Apart from being a marvellous specimen, she is a joy to own.

Prior to breeding our dogs are hip and elbow scored and eye tested. Pups are registered with Dogs Queensland and come with their Pedigree Papers.

Drycreek Kelpies are raised with love and care and go to their new homes at 8 weeks of age with a written 14 day money back guarantee. Pups are vaccinated, micro-chipped, wormed regularly and commenced on their heart worm treatment.

Pups experience life in our home and as a result rudimentary toilet training. They are exposed to in home common noises e.g. dishwasher, vacuum cleaner, clothes and hair dryer. In those first 8 weeks they sleep, eat and play on grass, concrete, polished floors and tiles providing them with a multitude of experience to equip them for their new homes.

All our dogs are our companions and house dogs. As a result the pups are well socialised with them, cats, children and adults.

Pups are accustomed to car travel, visiting a vet on at least two occasions. They are familiar with crates as these are always available to play and sleep in. As it nears their time to leave us they all experience short and happy periods of time as individuals away from litter mates.

Of utmost importance to us is breeding and raising long term healthy Companion Dogs with excellent temperament and true to the ANKC Australian Kelpie standard.
