Our Calberick prefix has only been registered since 2009 however we have owned Pointers since 1986. After a lengthy absence from the ring to raise our family we returned at the end of 2008 with a new team. As at June 2011, we have a show team of 4 (2 dogs/ 2 bitches) ranging from 1 year old to 4 years old. Each of these dogs has been awarded a Best in Show and indicates the quality sitting in our kennel.

Over the coming years we plan on carefully using these dogs in breeding programs to further improve on the quality we already have. While breeding to type is obviously the goal of every pedigree breeder we are also focused to ensure that puppies are sound, healthy individuals that make perfect family companions. As one of N.Z's oldest established Pointer kennels we have for 30 years been breeding Pointers true to the UK type, generally using Crookrise based lines.

We do not breed often, usually when we need another dog, but we currently have a puppy or two available from our current litter. This litter is out of our Porthcurno Imperial Pearl, (who is sired by sired Bonnygate Imperial Choice (UK) ShCM ) ex our famous BISS winner Ch.Porthcurno Tartan Tights), and is sired by our Ch.Chesterhope Razor Sharp at Porthcurno (BISS winner)
