We are a small kennel located in the Hunter Region 2 hours north of Sydney in NSW. We breed carefully from quality Australian, English and European lines to produce sound, healthy and happy puppies to go to loving homes, and we can arrange for transport anywhere in Australia or Overseas.

Our dogs are first and foremost a part of our family and share in most of our activities, (although we do hope that they stop chasing our chooks some time soon!)

Now with more than 600 challenge points is well on his way to getting that Grand Champion.

Kalaska Abbey Of Alex gained her title this year at only 16 months old and then went on to win RUNNER UP BEST IN SHOW AT THE SAMOYED CLUB VICTORIA and then Challance Bitch and Runner Up To Best Of Breed at the ADELAIDE ROYAL SHOW,BISS Aust. Ch. Kalaska All About Pink won Bitch Challenge at the Melbourne Royal and then BEST IN SHOW AT THE N.S.W. SAMOYED CLUB SPECIALITY.

Established in 1978, we have bred more Grand Champions than any other breeder in Australia or New Zealand (up to 9 now) with a number of other grand champions coming down from our lines. Our limited and selective breeding programme is aimed at producing quality, NOT quantity and has produced multi BIS & BISS winners (as well as pointscore winners) covering 5 states and two countries. We got our first Samoyed in 1978 just after I saw a Sammy for the first time, first as pets, then we started to show and breed, but always they are our pets or more to the point, part of our family.

It is very rare to see me in a car without a Sammy with me, I have one as a companion pretty much everywhere I go.

We aim to breed our Samoyeds to the English standard, coats and heads are very important to us, a Sammy must firstly look like a Sammy.
Our puppies are brought up inside our house so they are part of the family from the day they open their eyes.
Our Sammies are house dogs, part of the family.

We find we do not have to spend much time at all to keep our dogs coats in top condition, even though we live on a rural property.

Showing is hard for us these days with business commitments but aim to get the babies out to socialize them when we can.

Vashka Samoyed is a small kennel breeding selectively to further the quality & working ability of the Samoyed. Vashka has been involved in showing & breeding samoyed for more than 20 years. Vashka Kennel has produced many home bred show champions from dogs from Australian, English, Finnish, New Zealand and American lines and believes in showing coloured samoyed ( cream, biscuit ) not just white ones. All breeding stock are hip scored at approx 18 months of age and only Vashka samoyeds with a hip score better than the breed average are bred.
Vashka also is the home of samoyeds with herding titles, having bred Vashka White Chemistry (AI) HIC, HT, PT, HSAs - the young lady who blazed the way for Samoyed in Herding in Australia. Many other samoyed at Vashka have herding titles including Ch Snowmist I'll Follow You (Imp Finland) HIC the only imported samoyed to gain a herding award. CH Vashka Solar Chemistry HSAs & Ch Vashka Sun Chemistry HSAs (litter brother & sister) are also the youngest samoyed to gain the Herding Instinct test, both gaining the award at 6 months & 3 days of age. They progressed well and both gained their PT titles at 13 months of age. Ch Vashka Sun Chemistry HSAs excelled becoming the first samoyed to gain the HSAs (herding Started A course sheep) in Australia

I started showing Samoyeds in 1964, and they have been my passion and a major part of my life ever since.

We are on 5 acres in Montrose Victoria, where I have a small, select kennel of top show dogs.

I imported my International Champion "McCoy" a French Gentleman in 2003 and have his lovely blood lines in most of my samoyeds today.
Currently I showing pups from the top Danish Kennel "Cabaka" having imported frozen semen in 2009.

A very important part of my breed is a super temperament.... intelligent, full of fun, active, willing to learn and extremely loving.

I am only interested in breeding healthy, happy, well built dogs that are capable of doing the work they would of done in Siberia many years ago.

Aldonza samoyeds are competing not only the Show Ring, but, in Obedience, Agility, Herding and Tracking ...all doing exceptionally, well thanks to the dedication of their wonderful owners across Australia.

Aldonza samoyeds are true family dogs, raised in my home with kids, cats, horses etc.

All pups come from stock that is Hip Xrayed and scored and Eyes checked.
