Dashoflash are located on a cattle property in the Upper Hunter, NSW. We breed SFTs because we adore their exceptional loyalty, athleticism & intelligence. They're easy to care for with silky smooth coats - which is fortunate on a farm as there are lots of burrs, muddy puddles & interesting smells to roll in!
They love the water & to tag along with you on the buggy, bike or ute. We socialise our SFTs once they are fully vaccinated, taking them into town to walk around town, interact with other people & dogs & get used to travelling.
Because they are so inquisitive & their desire to hunt is strong, it is best to keep them on lead when venturing to new exciting places as the SFT’s nose will be doing overtime! (of course once you have developed a good recall, you can leave them off lead.)
As a companion, the SFT is incredibly loyal, affectionate and a devoted family member. They have an uncanny knack of gauging who needs the most ‘love’ in the family. For this reason, our SFTs are regular visitors to our local aged care home. We love the reaction of the residents, and the dogs love the attention!
They make great inside or outside dogs, are willing 'partners in crime' for toddlers or teen's and will quickly become much loved members of the family.
Be warned, once you have one, you will probably want more!
