Love for the Chow Chow breed has been a family tradition for nearly a century. My grandparents had their first Chow in 1936 and bred under the Kinleen Kennel name prolifically in the 1950’s. My parents bred in the 70’s and I carried forward that legacy from the1980’s.
The most important thing to me about breeding is to stay true to the dog, to do the best we can to breed healthy dogs; physically, mentally and socially.
I breed very selectively and only occasionally. Although I love my Chows, the breed is certainly not suited to everyone. A Chow Chow's disposition can be described as dignified and aloof, but don't mistake this for a lack of loyalty or affection. Once they form a bond with their human family, it's a bond for life.
I take great care in evaluating potential families to ensure that they are a good match for our puppies. My puppies are raised in our home with the interaction of our large family, grandchildren and friends. I prefer to sell to local people so they can see how their puppy has been raised and I can meet their adopted family.
I am a member of Dogs QLD and the puppies are registered, vaccinated, DNA tested and vet checked.
