I’ve bred, shown & trained Boxers since the 1980s. We added Border Terriers (BT) to our home in 2008. Our dogs are above all loved family members. I plan litters only if confident of producing healthy, long-lived, loving companions. I’m active in dog sports so I prioritise sound construction & temperament, and early socialisation. In 2022, Julie Clarke & Sue Smith entrusted me with Isla (Lester Borda-Call Me Isla). Her first litter is due in 2024.

Prefix : APEX (Border Terrier)

I'm delighted to announce that Isla (Lester Borda-Call Me Isla) is expecting her first litter.

Pups are expected to be born late May, and ready to go to their new homes from 8 weeks of age onwards.

Isla is co-owned with her breeders Julie Clarke (Lester Borda) and her sister Sue Smith (Dunrobin). The sire of the litter was also bred by Julie & Sue: NZ Ch. Dunrobin The Chase is On ('Chase').

I do not keep a waiting list until a pregnancy is confirmed, so I now welcome enquiries. But please read my notes below first.

It is important to me that every pup I breed has the best possible chance of a long and happy life. That means I prioritise things like health testing and rigorous early socialisation for pups. It also means I need to feel confident that prospective puppy parents are a good match for the characteristics of the breed, and the temperament of a particular pup. With 30+ years breeding, owning and training dogs I'm a pretty good judge of what will work best for a family and for my pups :)

If you are interested in a puppy, please email and tell me a bit about your home / family, and your experience with dog ownership. It's also helpful if you can share why you want a Border Terrier, and what your ideal pup would be like. Please include any questions you have for me too.

Next Litter Planned: May, 2024
