The dog is noncarrier of the mutant gene.
It is very unlikely that the dog will develop POAG / PLL Primary Open Angle Glaucoma (POAG) and Primary Lens Luxation (PLL). The dog will never pass the mutation to its offspring, and therefore it can be bred to any other dog.
- Shar Pei auto-inflammatory disease (SPAID)
is an inherited disease affecting the Shar Pei breed. Spaid testing is a linkage test, not a definitive diagnosis. It is a useful health tool for breeders but not a guarantee for life.
SPAID is characterised by multiple signs of inflammation including Familial Shar-Pei Fever (FSF), Arthritis, Vesicular Hyaluronosis, Otitis and Amyloidosis.
