Aust Ch Doguerouge Samantha
We were talked in to showing her by her breeder when she was 7 months old. This led to a distinguished show career with her winning numerous Best of Breeds and Challenges under both national and international judges. She is our first Australian Champion.
She is the mother of our first litter and three of her babies from that litter are Australian Champions and Class in Group winners. Her stunning son, Aust. Grand Ch. Bordogue Benjamin, is a multi Best in Group winner, multi Reserve in Group and multi Class in Group winner. He was also the Number 1 DDB in Australia for 2006 and the No. 1 Australian Bred DDB in 2007 (DOL Pointscore). He is the first Aust. bred multi Best in Group winning Grand Champion.
A son from her second litter, Aust. Ch. Bordogue Reginald (AI)is also a multi Class in Group winner.
Both Ben and Reggie have also been awarded Puppy of Breed at Brisbane Royal - Ben in 2004 and Reggie in 2006 - and now grandson Tobias in 2008.
Both of Samantha's sons did well at the 2006 Sydney Royal with Ben winning the Intermediate Dog Class (from 4 dogs) and Reginald winning the Puppy Dog Class (from 3 dogs).
Samantha is the only Aust. bred bitch to produce a multi Best in Group winner, let alone a multi Best in Group winning Grand Champion.
Samantha's grandchildren are doing well in the showring. Tobias is a Best in Show, 3 x Best in Group and 7 x RU BIG winner at Champ Show level. Joelle is the first Aust. bred female to win Best in Group at Champ Show level and Sian is also a Best in Group winner at an Open Show.
Her offspring prove she is one of Aust. most influential bitches.
Samantha passed away from bloat on 19 May 2009 at 8 years old. Our hearts are very empty without her.
