BIS Ch Chelport Sunsetter
Murphy titled with his sixth CC, and has to his credit (at all breeds championship shows, in top company) a Best Exhibit in Show, two Best Exhibit in Group, four Runner Up in Group and multi classes in Group. Murphy's Best in Show made him the first ever owner/ bred/ handled wholecolour to win the award in SA, second Ruby, and third wholecolour (the first being his Ruby sire). He won Runner Up in Group at his next appearance – his retirement show - to make him the most highly awarded wholecolour ever in SA. A year later he briefly popped out of retirement to cement his place in history, prior to heading off to a new life as an adored pet. Thank you to those judges and fellow exhibitors who recognised Murphy's virtues, and to his new mum for making a place in her home and heart for him.
Murphy was a joy to show - always willing to give 110% - and his great personality was passed on to the two offspring I went on with, Myf (Ch C U Shld B Dancin - profiled on this site) and Andy (C Sundance AD JD SD). Murphy and "the twins" won Best Parent and Offspring at the CKCS Club of SA Champ show in 2007, and the twins were 2nd in Brace at the 2007 Adelaide Royal, and 3rd the following year.
