In August 2005 Roland was taken from us and is sadly missed at BELCROFT - his exuberance, love of life and energy meant that he was not with us for a long time - but a good time. He lives on in his son and daghter and his ashes are scattered in his favourite places.

ROLAND won Intermediate class under Mr Duncan Craig (Alisma UK)at the Cocker Club Championship Show in April 2005.

Mr Craig's judges critique said of Roland "very well constructed dog of good size and shape, nicely balanced head with pleasing eye and expression, firm topline, excellent quarters, well presented, moved soundly."

Not to be outdone, his son BELCROFT BOYHOOD HERO takes first in Baby Puppy dog, daughter BELCROFT SIMPLY KISSED takes first in Baby Puppy bitch, and his other daughter BELCROFT ICE MAIDEN (black and white of course!) takes 3rd. BELCROFT SIMPLY KISSED then took the cute factor to the next stage with BABY PUPPY in show.

With an entry of nearly 270 cockers, ROLAND won RESERVE CHALLENGE, O/S to RUNNER UP IN SHOW and INTERMEDIATE IN SHOW at Australian National Cocker Championship show in April 2004 under PAMELA HALKETT (Scotland) of Wiljana kennels.

The Australian National Cocker Spaniel Championship show is Australia's biggest specialist event and only held every 2 years. On 'Roland's' home ground in Melbourne, he won Reserve Challenge to the famous Gr Ch Feenix Fair Star.

"Stylish light blue dog. Good balanced head with kind dark expressive eye. Good neck and shoulders with strong deep body. Good spring of rib. Well boned with nice feet. Very well angulated throughout. Strong quarters. Moved soundly fore and aft. He flowed from nose to tail. Very well presented and in hard condition."
