Lucas combines top English and Swedish lines, with his grandfather Sw/Nwy/ Intl Ch Inkwells Named Shadow winning Best in the Gundog Group at Crufts in 2003. His uncle took out Best in Group at Crufts in Feb 2007. He is a very well balanced boy - moves well, and holds his super topline on the move. Lovely temperament - as all flatcoats should have. Already he is retrieving dummies and swimming boldly. A lovely boy to have around at home, and also to show. He gained his title in Dec 06, at just 20 months old, and to date has had wins against all males shown in SA, most much older than him. He has In Group awards, and was Best of Breed at the Autumn International under Mr Thana Achariyawan of Thailand. He was was Reserve Challenge the previous day under Canadian Judge Mrs Anne Hennigan, a great weekend of showing. In 2009 Lucas got a new handler - Jodi Buchanan a teenager that can as fast as Lucas can. They are doing well together.
