I have been involved with Scottish Deerhounds since March 2010. I Show deerhounds for Ms Howard and Ms Danger from the Bhealaich Kennels!
I have my first Deerhound Ember who I got from Bhealaich Kennels and I titled her in 14 months,
She is Ch Bhealaich Prettyprecosus. I cannot thank Glenda and Chris enough for my beautiful girl who has also in july 2014 had her first litter.
Ember in 2013 on th DCV went:
Runner Up Deerhound Of The Year (to her father Ch Bhealaich Major Tom)
Junior Of The Year
Puppy Of The Year
Her Daughter Mirrahcle (LUVADEER A Beautiful Mirrahcle) is doing her mother proud. she has amassed many BOB's, class in group and class in show.

CABERFEI DEERHOUNDS
We have had deerhounds since 1979 and only breed occasionally. We ensure that both sire and dam are suited for each other to ensure the best quality pups.

Over the last 40 or so years, we have only bred 9 litters. It is our belief that only good quality Deerhounds should ever be bred from.

We do not have puppies at present, but may have some in the near future.

We have been members and supporters of the Deerhound Club of Victoria since 1979.

Owners of the majestic Deerhound since 1995.We are a small kennel situated at Clunes near Ballarat in victoria.
We do not kennel our dogs they are first of all much loved family pets.
We breed for type,soundness,temperament and ability.We aim to produce the ideal combination of strenth,speed,endurance and confidence with a temperament that makes them a very loyal member of any loveing family. All our Deerhounds are true to type and retain a strong working instinct, they are also raised and live in a family environment with children and fit in beautifully.
Our multifunctional hounds should excel in the field ,ring or home.

Multi Best in Show and Runner Up wins at Speciality Shows. Also Challenge and Best of Breed awards at Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra Royals, ( 3rd place in Group winner at 2008 Adelaide Royal Show ).
Owner & Exhibitor of Deerhound Of The Year 2003, 2004, 2005,2007 & 2010( DCV ). .
Breeding for Type, Balance, Soundness and above all Temperament. Most of our pups go to family homes so Temperament is top of the list !! We are proud of our dogs achievments not only as top winning show dogs but also for their loyal companionship and as personal and family pets. The hounds live in rural Victoria.They keep fit by enjoying a run in the bush and swimming in the dam.
All our dogs are tested for ALL forms of cardiac disease, including DCM and ARVC, using echo and proBNP.
