An ethical, responsible breeder breeds to improve the health of the French Bulldog, not just to create a "product" for sale. About eight years later we started looking for a pet for Cruz, we wanted a dog that was small enough to be in the house comfortably, low maintenance and most importantly be a robust and fun dog for an 8 year old boy…. And so became our love of Frenchies. Our beloved Elliot , closely followed by Stevie and Dolly cemented our love for this endearing fun loving breed. When Cruz got a bit older and more independent I started thinking about breeding and showing dogs again of course Frenchies were my choice . Here at Prettyvales our aim is to breed healthy and sound Frenchies for the Show Ring and for the home. My girls have also been Respiratory function graded, by a Specialist Veterinarian team from Cambridge University with clear score gradings – results can be seen on the Orchid website. Both Parents undergo DNA testing prior to breeding. This means the puppies are clear by parentage and will not inherit/ display any of these diseases. All my breeding dogs undergo a Full Breed Disease DNA Profile.
