Breeding since 1995. Pups go to pet homes and some do obedience, hunting and showing. We show lightly and have 2-3 litters per year. Our dogs have good hip scores. We have taken 8 puppies through to Australian Champion and 2 through obedience to Open level. Our pups are raised in the house until 4 weeks, then move to a large shed with our other dogs. For 25 years we lived at Gordon near Ballarat. In 2022, we moved to Nagambie in north central Victoria.

Here is a comment from a recent buyer 'He's an angel, such a smart cookie. It feels like he almost understands every thing. He is just absolute perfection'.

We love this breed but it is not for everyone. Vizslas are very active and want company all the time. They don't do well left alone during the day. It is best to have someone at home during the day. Buyers should be prepared to exercise daily and to spend a lot of time with the dog. Vizslas also like another dog for company and will do best if you already have a dog. You can get an idea about the breed by looking at facebook Vizsla pages, but pay attention to the negatives and the positives. Some dogs can be anxious and develop separation anxiety and barking. If you have kids, wait until the youngest is 5 years.

Kaposvari Kennels have been breeding Vizslas for 20 years. We are members of Dogs Victoria & the Hungarian Vizsla Club of Victoria.

Our pups have gone to homes for family pets, hunting & retrieving companions, some do trials, obedience work and shows. Our bloodlines include the imported Hungarian line from the Matai Kennel, Hubertus and Agasvari lines. We take pride in breeding our dogs to have a placid & affectionate temperament and to the breed standards.

Our dogs grow up on the farm in a family environment and have a very gentle temperament. Our dogs are renowned for being used in the field as excellent hunters & retrievers, love swimming, running and being with everyone.

All pups are sold with a Limited Register Pedigree, vet checked, vaccinated, wormed & micro-chipped. We provide ongoing advice and support to all puppy buyers even after you take your new pup home. We keep you up to date regularly via a private Facebook page with photos & videos of the pups growing up until they go to their new homes.

We have owned and bred Vizsla's since 1991 with our foundation bitch Klerhunt Sugarloaf Creek (Kiah). Our dogs have always been first and foremost family members. Our current relatives to Kiah are Kuparr, Jyana and Mischka who have excelled in obedience with Jyana and Kuparr gaining their Aust. Championship and Endurance titles. All our dog are keen to please, easily trained and enjoy the company of children, adults and other four legged friends. They are great travellers and love outdoor adventures especially water activities. We breed to achieve a dark russet gold colour, medium sized deep chested pups with neat feet and great temperaments. Our various litters have gone to hunters, families, show people and obedience people. We have been breeding vizslas for nearly 10 years. I have been hunting for 40 years with many different dogs. I fell in love with vizslas and I got my first vizsla Lara 11 years ago in 2011. Lara was a great hunting dog, hunting quail and retrieving ducks. We said goodbye to our dear friend in early 2022. She gave me great pleasure and enjoyment when I went out hunting. Lara was wonderful at home with the family and very friendly. She was like velcro. She was bred from international hunting blood lines and show lines. To replace her I started breeding.

The photo is Marley one of Lara's pups which I kept. I also kept a daughter Lexi. To keep the strong hunting lines, I imported a bitch Xena from a US hunting kennel. Lexi and Xena are 3 years old and have been mated and are both pregnant and expecting pups early May 22. Lexi is small to medium size. Xena is very small. The father is a medium dog so the puppies are likely to be small to medium when grown. This is an opportunity for you if you want the smaller end of the breed.

We have been vizsla owners for the past 20 years and believe they are the most wonderful breed imaginable. We live on a rural property in Red Hill, Mornington Peninsula, Victoria where our vizslas enjoy farm life. Our dogs are keen stalkers of wildlife and love swimming. They are extremely active, playful and affectionate.

We are infrequent breeders of high quality vizslas. We follow the breed standard and focus on breeding for affectionate temperament, instinctive ability and correct conformation. Our vizslas are from the superb Agasvari bloodline and we aim to breed for true Hungarian looks and conformation.

A potential vizsla owner must be prepared for daily exercise and spending a lot of time with their new companion as vizslas love being with you. Vizslas make excellent family members with their superb temperament and beautiful personalities. We have owned and loved the breed for over 12 years and owned gundogs for over 15. Our dogs are well loved family pets having been used for hunting as well as training and competing in numerous dog trials: Retrieving, Obedience, Agility, Rally and Tricks as well as attending Conformation Shows.

Being members of our local dog obedience club since 2006, each of our dogs has attended club for socialisation, fun and development of their skills in our chosen fields.

Blashadon Hungarian Vizslas is a boutique kennel with the goal of carefully planned matings to improve the quality and not just the quantity! We aim to produce puppies of exceptional quality with only those that have clear DNA health checks and excellent hip and elbow results. Puppies are raised on premium feed, regular worming at 2 week intervals from 2 weeks to 12weeks, vaccinated and microchips and health checks at 6 weeks. Puppies will come with ANKC (Dogs Vic) pedigrees on the limited register (which means not for breeding, show or export)
Our 11 year old son, Blake is the show ring handler and our dogs are both Australian Champion titled with Aus Ch Sambaridge Southern Jim quickly heading towards his Australian Grand Championship title. We are actively attending championship shows most weekends, within Victoria, NSW and SA.

We are a small family orientated Kennel committed to improving each generation of our Pedigree PureBreed Hungarian Vizslas, with temperament and confirmation.
