We are thrilled to introduce this beautiful, very rare Japanese breed to Australia.
We have imported 3 Shikoku to date, and looking into a forth in the near future. .
Our breeding age Shikoku have been health tested for HD, ED and Eyes plus DNA breed health profile prior to making any breeding plans. This is to ensure the breed within Australia is as heathy as can be before breeding.

We are thrilled with how well our first generation Shikoku have been received in the show ring in the last 6 months.

Puppies are raised using the puppy culture method and in our home environment with other dogs, kids, animals.

All parents have been fully DNA tested to ensure the puppies cannot be affected by any hereditary diseases/illnesses.

Puppies will come with a puppy pack and food that we currently feed them. We use the puppy culture method program with our puppies to ensure they have the best start to life possible.

All puppies come microchipped, vaccinated, wormed and vet checked.

Our puppies can be flown interstate. I also make a trip to Adelaide once per litter to deliver any puppies (for those that prefer this)

Puppies come on a limited register with Dogs Australia (formerly ANKC) Happy to discuss Main registration for the right fit.

With over 40 YEARS experience in the breeding and exhibition of world class Border Collies i have exciting news at Bordalace for 2024. I am expecting puppies in mid October and they will be ready to go to their new famies during the Christmas holidays.

The litter has been bred so I can keep one, hopefully a girl, and pet owners and families will benefit from my knowledge of breeding correct , healthy, sound Border Collies with great temperaments when purchasing their forever puppy.

At Bordalace I do not breed for colour and chose dogs that carry no DNA markers for any disease. I have 3 cats that fit this criteria. Instead I use dogs that FIT THE BREED STANDARD and carry the hallmarks that make up a Border Collie and produce puppies that will not develop a known major disease that we DNA test for.

Hips and elbow scored
FULL C.T. scan of body
Eyes physically checked by a Specialist
BAER hearing tested
Exhibited in the breed ring regularly
At least acquired a Herding Instinct Test
