ADALACIA Papillon

This beautiful Baroque silky-coated companion originated, as shown in Old Master's work, in Spain. These dainty, affectionate little beauties were gifted within Europe's Royal courts & graced the laps of European aristocrats. Papillons & Phalènes underwent breed consolidation in the 1500s due to French & Belgian breeders, giving us these enchanting yet robust little dogs. Internationally named Continental Toy Spaniels, they come in many beautifully shaded silky coats with Papillons exhibiting characteristic heavily fringed butterfly shaped ears. Littermates with low-set ears look more like the wings of a moth, hence the name Phalène. We are committed to breeding from old lines dating back to the 1800s to maintain the closeness with history & culture. Frozen Semen (SWE) from SEU CH's CASPIAN'S MACINTOSH & SILENZIO'S SIR has been imported. Height 8" -11" & as adults, Weight 2kg to 4+ kg.
