Bilstonwake became the home of Irish Terriers in 1989. In 2011 we add a Wheaten Terrier to our kennels. Our aim is to protect these breeds for conservation keeping their Standards in mind at all times. SOUND TEMPERAMENTS, SOUND IN BODY AND HEALTH.

BROOMSQUIRES - Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier
Broomsquires is one of the oldest kennel prefix for Staffordshire Bull Terriers in Australia, it was first registered in the UK by John and Eileen Sheward, then registered here by them. Graeme and myself took it as ours and we have used for our Staffords and now our Wheatens, which were formally under our Bilstonwake Irish Terrier prefix. Broomsquires has had other breeds in the past but is firstly a terrier kennel. We first started breeding in 1966 with Staffords and were involved with Boxers and Afghans with my parents. With all the breeds we have owned and bred, the importance is and has been always to focus on Type, Temperament, and aim to breed healthy dogs. We are happy to talk anytime about the breed or breeds we have had in the past.
