DEMONHEART Dobermann and HILDYDANE Great Dane

Relocated from Europe (Barcelona) in 2012 with some of our bubs we bred there. Thank you for all the enquiries about our beloved Dobes but we are not actively breeding them anymore.

A character larger than life, Hildegard Schliefert founded Hildydane back in 1972, and her role in the history of the coloured Danes in Australia was pivotal, to the extent that most (if not all) of the coloured Dane breeders started their lines with a Hildydane. With her strong character she always fought to prove the versatility of this breed, importing quite a number of amazing specimens from USA and Europe, to strengthen the bloodlines in this country, and bred not only multiple champions in conformation shows but also titled some of her dogs in obedience as well, because as she well said: they’re an absolutely trainable and extremely intelligent breed, and getting their obedience titles was the best way to prove it, actions speak louder than words! They stole her heart and she bred them and showed them passionately until well over her 80’s, when she naturally retired from actively breeding. Having a very similar idea/mindset of what this beautiful dogs should be able to do, she entrusted us to carry on with her legacy in the breed for many more years to come, and because of our love to her we want the most beautiful Danes, inside and out, to keep carrying her name and making her proud. Majestic and functional, at Hildydane we strive to breed the most complete family dog, gentle and loving, but at the same time, a fearless protector of their home and family.
