Koorakai Australian Shepherds is a small, dedicated kennel based in Brookfield, Queensland, and enjoy a lifestyle that closely reflects the active, versatile nature of the breed. We currently own four Australian Shepherds. Our dogs are raised as part of our family and have grown up around other animals, contributing to confident social skills and well rounded temperaments. They live a balanced lifestyle, spending time both inside the home and outdoors as well as being crate trained, allowing them to develop adaptability and settle comfortably in a range of environments. Living on acreage, our dogs are regularly exposed to a small-farm setting and are familiar with animals such as chickens, ducks, horses and cattle. This exposure supports sound nerves, environmental confidence, and sensible behaviour around livestock and everyday rural activity. Our dogs benefit from room to roam and structured activity, which supports their physical fitness and mental wellbeing. Our dogs are fed a complete whole-food diet with high quality nutrient dense raw foods, natural oils and high protein. Our belief is that good nutrition creates healthy bodies and healthy minds resulting in beautiful structures and healthy coats.
