What attracted you to the Australian Shepherd to think about havng one join your family? Temperament, easy to train, family friendly, fun loving and good looking! So really the colour of the dog should not be the only thing you need to think about. Granted that you will have this dog in your life for 12-15 years. But if all the traits you are looking for just happen to come in a colour that is not quite what you had originally thought you would have, well, maybe get another down the line, and make that the colour of your preference! I have 3 beautiful black tri colour boys. All of whom are exhibiting the traits I mentioned above. 2 boys are now 6 months old and ready to learn some new skills with their new families. They love water and would love someone to call their own. The other boy is 3 months old, very laid back and ready to learn. All these boys have been raised with other dogs and cats. Are used to lots of farm noises, trucks, cars, horses, sheep etc etc. They started their lives in my home, underfoot and getting used to the usual household noises.
