Our love affair with Irish Setters has lasted since the late seventies, when we first began showing and breeding these glorious dogs. Our Irish are known for their good looks and racy personalities and are bred for health and temperament first, and their beauty of course. We are now delighted to have a new litter of pups from the beautiful Rosy and Declan. Our Rosy (Ch Eirean It Had To Be You AI typifies the best of the breed - she's loving, full of spirit and grace, and her free and open gait makes her a pleasure to watch. Awarding her at the most recent specialist Setter Club show, Judge Mr Kim Meyer had this to say about Rosy. "Lovely feminine bitch. Gorgeous head and expression. Holds her topline on the move. Correct dentition. Compact and strong in loin, good rear angulation. Everything about her just flows." A Rosy progeny, A20 Ch. Aust. Grand Ch.Carlowa Scarlett Rose AI achieved her Australian title while a minor puppy and has now been awarded her Grand Champion and her A20 title. Another Rosy litter delivered in April 2025, from a mating with NZ Supreme Gr.Champion Lanascol Was This the Answer (Declan) delivered more beautiful Carlowa pups, and we have repeated this mating to produce our current litter of 5 boys and 5 girls.

Irish Setter Puppies - Litter Listing
We have two outstanding pups available from our latest litter from our glorious Rosy (Ch Eirean It Had to be You AI) and Declan (NZ Supreme Champion Lanascol Was This the Answer). This is a repeat mating of Rosy and Declan, and Rosy's third and final litter. Their last litter in April 2025 produced eight magnificent puppies and you can see some of them under 'active dog profiles' on this site - Carlowa Southern Stunner and Carlowa In the Pink. The pups, now 4 weeks old, come from excellent lineage and are bred for health, temperament and of course beauty. Our pups are raised in the home, and are socialised and health tested before they leave us from eight weeks. The come with full Dogs Queensland registration, DNA and other health checks, and are microchipped and immunised, and see a vet before they leave us. Transport to their new homes can be arranged.

These puppies come from excellent breeding, introducing NZ lines into my lines, to ensure the quality of the offspring, whether for show or as loving family pets. One of the pups from the last mating of Rosy and Declan was described recently by a judge as 'the best Irish setter I have ever laid hands on.' Another 3 pups from the last litter are doing very well in the show ring. However, not everyone want a show dog and the rest of the litter went to loving homes in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. The most critical part of our breeding program is ensuring the health and temperament of our pups. We are also very selective about where our pups are homed, and if at all possible, like prospective owners to come to our home so we can meet them, and they can meet our dogs and puppies.
