Established in 1980, Southbank has become synonimous with breed type, quality and temperament. In association with Guy Spagnolo's Driftway Labrador Retrievers we strive to breed and exhibit Labrador that are as close as possible to our interpretation of the breed standard. This means that they must be both competitive in the show ring and a pleasure to own. Fundamental to achieving this objective is our belief that a Labrador must look like a Labrador and nothing else!

Bronwyn and I joined the Canine Control Council (Qld) in 1980. For the past 41 years we have been extremely privileged to have bred, owned, co-owned and exhibited some of Australia's very best Labrador Retrievers. In 2012 our daughter Karly purchased her companion dog Calvin - a very handsome Tri Color male. More recently Bronwyn purchased a lovely Blenheim bitch which we call Lori. On the 27th May 2021 we welcomed our first litter of Blenheim baby puppies. We plan to keep the best bitch for ourselves and Bronwyn hopes to exhibit this youngster during October of this year.

Established in 1980, Southbank Labrador Retrievers have become synonymous with type, quality and temperament. In close association with Guy Spagnolo's Driftway Labrador kennels we breed a maximum of 2 carefully planned litters per year. We particularly enjoy speaking with those who may be new to the breed and we encourage novices to contact us with their breed research questions. All enquiries will be treated in the strictest confidence.
