Prefix : WESTENGO (Portuguese Podengo (Small Smooth Haired))
Over 20 years of breeding, showing and grooming experience with cairn terriers. The prefix was Banmhor. I was on the hunt for a small breed without the coat care of a cairn terrrier.
I contacted Annika from Sleykh kennels in 2016, she had a little bitch available. I took the chance and this little girl arrived sitting in the back of the crate at the airport very overwhelmed. Little Vida is my precious old girl now. Her sister arrived with us a year later in 2017.
We bred the first litter in WA in 2018 under the Sleykh prefix.
The mission is to promote and show others how incredible a Podengo is, the perfect little companion. One POD will lead to two!
In April 2024 our first litter will be born under our own Prefix Westengo.
