We bought our first Labrador Duffy into the family when we were expecting our first grand child as we wanted a dog that would be great with kids. We couldn't be happier with our choice of breed, so we bought another, Cadie. In 2012 Duffy had her first litter. We kept a boy from this litter, Jingo and in early 2013 we took great delight in adding our gorgeous Jeda to the clan. Jeda is our only black labrador with the other 3 being chocolate.
Duffy Cadie Jingo and Jeda are part of a Pets As Therapy program in the local nursing homes, they go and visit the elderly and disabled on a weekly basis.
All our dogs are fed a raw natural diet of meat bones and added supplements. All our dogs have excellent hip / elbow scores and have been DNA tested for PRA and EIC.
All my dogs are enrolled in obedience training towards getting CCD and Rally-O titles. Duffy has her CCD and Rally Novice title, Jingo has attained his Australian Championship and is doing well at Rally-O and Jeda is loving nosework classes. All compete in the show ring with some success.
Our labs are part of the family, they live indoors or out as they please and they all come on holidays with us.
My aim is to breed healthy, happy Labradors in a free range environment.
