AUST CH Oakridge Ice Breaker (AI) CD RRD
A very stylish dog, from limited showing Breaker is a multiple class in group & BOB winner. His robust, friendly and biddable nature makes him a dream to train. With very minimal training, he has achieved 7 obedience trial passes to date.
Placed in the Intermediate class, Breaker was awarded an "excellent" grading at the 2006 National Show, as were his two sibblings. His critique: "Medium eye colour. Dentition correct. Strong male with an elegant head. Very good topline and back. Very good angulation. Movement correct. Conformation excellent."
Breaker has just attained his NRD (retrieving) title, handled on the day to his final win by John Nairn (thank you John). His robust temperament has enabled a multitude of people to handle him in various types of competition (mainly showing).
The pups from his first litters all seem to have his happy, confident and well-adjusted nature, and have started to mature nicely.
Following almost a family tradition, Breaker wins both the Field & Retrieving QC class, and the Obedience QC class, at the 2008 National show held in Victoria.

And again in 2010, Breaker wins both the Field & Retrieving QC class, plus the Obedience QC class at the GSP National Show in Sydney, beating Canada's current No 1 ranked Shorthair (recently imported to Oz) along the way!
It would be a shame if I trained him ... Breaker was recently entered in the R&FT Club SA Retrieving Trial, without any training and not having retrieved a bird at all for close to 12 months. He not only completed the trial, but gained 2nd place (just missing 1st place by 2 points). As per usual, he handled his birds beautifully. This boy is a natural!
Breaker was awarded an EXCELLENT grading at the 2014 GSP National, and gained 4th place in a very strong Veteran Dog class. His critique from this event:
"Typical head. Dark eye. Correct bite. Good neck and topline. Well set tail. Good forechest and brisket. Good movement."
Breaker is a stylish, medium-size, sound-moving dog, with the most endearing personality.
