In 1998 the Australian Grand Champion title was introduced and at the age of eight years and after 3 years of retirement, Beau came out just one more time to claim it with a BOB and Runner-Up in Group award.
Beau was responsible for lots of "firsts". The first Pembroke Welsh Corgi to win the West's all-breed Puppy of the Year; the first Pembroke Welsh Corgi to win Best Exhibit in Show Perth Royal Show; the first dog to represent Western Australia at the inaugural OzDog Australasian Showdog of the Year and the first Pembroke Welsh Corgi and Working Dog to win the WAKC Contest of Winners. Finally, the first Australian Grand Champion for the Pembroke Welsh Corgi breed in Western Australia.
A really grand little dog both at home and to show. Always and forever in our hearts.
