Pirate, also known as Honey has done very well in the show ring, winning Best of Breed nearly every time she entered the ring. She also impressed in the obedience ring. Her obedience career was cut short in order to accomodate 4 years of seving as a therapy dog for Pets of Kindness. She loved this and worked her special miracles with authistic children. She still knows the routine well. She has now retired and enjoys a relaxed live on the farm, helping at lambing time with cleaning and warming and guarding newborn East Friesian lambs. She also gets on well with the ducks and cats and chooks. The turkeys are a bit pushy for her. She is still an embassador for the breed whereever she goes, acustoming new puppies to big dogs, entertaining small children and loving all the people she meets.
She's an absolute pleasure to be with. As one of her showhandlers said "she sparkles" and the shine is not wearing of. Many people remark that they feel waves of love rolling of her. Her whole life is LOVE LOVE,LOVE
