But most importantly to us Dixie came home in 2008 when Deb downsized her kennels and Dixie became the princess of TAPUA to lord it over the Labradors here at Woodstock. A much cherished companion of my husband, Peter, Dixie became his 'Kelpie Princess Girl' and every wiggle of her ears and wag of her tail was indulged.
She slept by our bed (on his side) and she drove the car with an air of regal supriority - as only Kelpies can. Dixie adored Peter and generally felt she should be waited on hand and foot - which she was.
Dixie was a real character and a treasure and she will be deeply missed.
