Arinya is my first venture into the Belgian breed. She was heartbreaking in her early days with her character being such that I spent many, many months building up her ability to cope with new situations and trying to get her to be less frightened of the world. The hard work has paid off and she is now a fairly happy and well balanced girl. I'm yet to find a sport she doesn't enjoy and do well at. We found that when she was focused on working she reacted less to her surroundings. She started with tracking to build her confidence and loved it. She did a little bit of showing although sporadically at first due to her fear of people she managed to attain a Ch in both Showing and Tracking. Once desensitised to people she was able to show herself off to her best and has gained 6 BNISS (Neuter). She now mostly competes in DWD and Agility with some Obedience thrown in for good measure. She shows great aptitude in both her Agility and DWD gaining a fastest in trial in Jumping and 7 High in Trials in DWD along with many first placings in her classes. Arinya is the first dog in Victoria to gain an Advanced title in both Freestyle and Heelwork to Music. From 23 enries to gain these titles, Rin has amassed 19 Firsts, 3 Seconds and a Third. She truly is an awesome dog she has been well worth the work. I look forward to many more years on the competition circuit with her as well as spending much more time with my little best mate!
