Merlin has a lovable personality and takes the world in his stride. He shows potential in field work. He enjoyed his first show with a great result - BEST BABY PUPPY IN SHOW under GSP specialist judge, Mrs. Carolyn Butler. He has also won 3 BEST BABY PUPPY IN GROUPs, 3 BEST MINOR PUPPY IN GROUPs, 3 BEST PUPPY IN GROUPs, 3 BEST JUNIOR IN GROUPs, 1 BEST INTERMEDIATE IN GROUP, 1 BEST STATE BRED IN GROUP, 3 BEST AUSTRALIAN BRED IN GROUPs, 1 BEST JUNIOR IN SHOW and 1 RUNNER-UP TO BEST IN GROUP. He gained the last points for his AUSTRALIAN CHAMPIONSHIP Title on 18.2.17, at 9 and a half months. He was successful at the GSP NATIONAL SHOW, 2017 under Judge, Zlatko Jojkic (Serbia) and was awarded 1st PLACE in the Junior Dog Class, and OPPOSITE SEX JUNIOR IN SHOW. Merlin has also won BEST OF BREED at the Royal Queensland Show (the Ekka) 2018. He has backed that up with winning DOG CHALLENGE, RUNNER-UP TO BEST OF BREED, and BEST AUSTRALIAN BRED IN GROUP under Mr. J Walsh Jnr (Ireland) at the Royal Queensland Show, 2019. Merlin is a GRAND CHAMPION in show. He is a very athletic dog and competes in Lure Coursing with great enthusiasm under the guidance of Ann-Marie Mussig. He has gained the JUNIOR COURSER/COURSING ABILITY Titles as well as completing the ENDURANCE TEST in 2019. Merlin is now retired and very happy, living the good life.
