Judge Profile

I was first introduced to Golden Retrievers in 1976. My first Golden Retriever that I owned and handled is still the Breeds highest C.C. winner in the State of Victoria (Australia). Since then, I have owned, bred and exhibited many Goldens with great success under the “Beaucroft” prefix and also other breeders prefixes.

I gained my Gundog license in 1998 and have completed assignments in all states of Australia and in New Zealand including the Gundog Spectacular in NZ, The Gundog Society of NSW, The Gundog Club of Darwin and The United Retriever Club of NSW. I am also aspiring for the Hound & Working Groups.

I have judged Golden Retriever Specialty shows in Western Australia, Tasmania, South Australia, 2 in the North Island of New Zealand, Finland, Korea (both Goldens & Labradors) and The Presidents Cup in Indonesia, these last 3 international assignments were under the FCI System. My judging has also taken me to Sweden where I completed 4 FCI judging assignments over two weekends.

In recent years, I have conducted numerous breed lectures on the Golden Retriever Standard, its construction and the judging of the breed for The Judges Training Scheme here in Victoria, Australia.

Currently, I am Chairman of the National Breed Council & Vice Present of The Golden Retriever Club of Victoria. I am a past President, Vice President & Committee member of the Golden Retriever Club of Victoria also. I have served on numerous All Breed Club Committees including the positions of Secretary, Show Secretary and Committee Person.

Goldens have been my life for over 40 years now and I can't see that changing anytime soon.
