We have been a part of the Pure bred Dog World since 1969 and since then we have bred 104 champions, eighty-seven English Springer Spaniels and seventeen American Cocker Spaniels. Having obtained my first Springer pet in 1985, I have successfully shown my team in New Zealand and Australia, breeding the occasional litter. All dogs have their eyes tested and hips scored before being bred from - but most important is of course the temperament. My lines are a mix of NZ, Australian and English. I am enjoying being in Australia now, with the wider gene pool available and look forward to continuing with my four footed friends.

I purchased my first English Springer Spaniel bitch in 1985 she was a daughter of Ch, Tanclueth Lil Boy Blue and Racepoint Goldern Ayer, Ridgeton Velvet mist was a lovely bitch who we bred to our handsome Sunspur Dog Heathcliff and had several litters under the Springdale Prefix. We started anew with great thanks to Penita Kennels Tasmania for our boy Ch, Penita U Only Live Twice and our girl Ch, Penita Foxy Cleopatra under the new prefix of Esspree, Unfortunatly Cleo was unable to produce us anything for the show ring.
With the generousity of Mr. Steven Warry, Sabu Kennels we were able to lease the lovely Aust Ch, Sabu Playin To Win for a litter with our Penita boy and have been blessed with Esspree Playin it cute.

We are not a large kennel and our priority is not showing. As well as hunting, we have an interest in Rally-O and field trialling. We believe in using the dogs for the purpose for which they were bred, and admire the classic English Springer.

To further this goal we have bred our lovely girl Daisy (Nz Ch Espaneire Daisy to Aust Grand Champion Ndolge Collectors Item). From this litter we kept Sandmark Sebastien, while his little sister Sandmark Arrial at Ndolge is turning heads in Australia.


Due to other committments, conformation shows will be very much on the back foot in 2011.
