Quality Cavalier King Charles Spaniels from 1978, Havanese joined Carnwath in 2002.
Ch Torza Dimonds Galore led the way for Havanese in Victoria, and he has since been joined by five imports.

My breeding program now incorporates varied European bloodlines alongside the tried and tested lines already available within Australia, including the beautiful multi In Show awarded Grand Champion Hashki Lord Ov The Realm.

ALL resident breeding dogs are health tested for patellae, hearts and eyes, and hips and elbows at two years of age.

The boys are available at stud only to approved bitches, and puppy or breed enquiries are always welcome.

I am qualified to judge all Toy Breeds, and am a Life Time Member of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club and Committee person for the Victorian Bichon Related Breeds Club.

We were introduced to the delightful happy, bubbly Havanese in 2007. We welcomed our Canadian dogs Cadbury and Peaches, and they obtained their Australian Championship titles with ease. Thanks Michelle for sending them to OZ!!!

Havanese are the most faithful and adorable, cheeky, little clowns of dogs that I have ever come across. They are very alert yet easy to live with. Thanks to Trina Kennard for entrusting Diesel (Australian Champion Torza Diesel Plus) to me in December 2006, as an 8 month old bundle of joy. Diesel is a champion several times over but has had to be withdrawn from the show ring owing to a shoulder injury. Diesel has been rehoused in an excellent pet home but his joyful nature is sadly missed.
Lucy (Havanique Coffee by Wepraze), imported from the USA, achieved her Australian Champion Title in May. Lucy has been mated to Australian Champion Rhumderry Im Heronsbridge (Roly) (See Dogz on Line Rising Star) and puppies are due on September 29th.
Snogum Altar Ego came to join us in April. He has been lightly shown with great success, including a 16 point Best of Breed from Minor Puppy. He will be available at stud toward the end of the year.

Hi we have now been in this breed for several years. My wife and I showed dogs for about 45 year we were married for 42 wonderful years but sadly after a very short illness she passed away not that long ago so sorry if I say we as we did do all of the work together with our top winning breeds.
We have our own bloodlines now that is Ch. Hashki Quick Sand daughter of Cleary grand Ch. Hashki Lord ov the Realm. She is the first Female Ch. From him. We bred Ch. Yendale Sandi’s Marshall who is a very hard to get Havana Brown he is growing coat at the moment as he was bitten by a tick and had to be clipped of. I did a mating and produced Yendale Guns A Blazing a black and white boy has only been shown a few time due to Yenice being ill. He’s now gaining points for his title and being shown for me.
My good news is I have now got two special dogs here at Yendale. This should now round out my own bloodlines as I have several males and females unrelated and an new Imported male that is having his coat grown back and I may have him shown for me. will be nice to see his pups. I have a New female in full coat that is so gorgeous I am hoping for big things from her. Both are pleasant in the house since I have only had them a few days

I have been involved in showing dogs for over 20 years. Our dogs are raised in a home environment,with young children and other pets, receiving loads of attention and socialising. We have a selective breeding program based on improving the breed and producing excellent temperament, type and soundness.

No expense is spared in raising our Havanese and it shows... firstly in their lovely natures, the condition they are presented - gloriously clean and parasite free. All is done with the very best of products. To ensure they are in perfect health all of my dogs have annual vet checks.

Havanese are easy to train and eager to please. A small companion dog around 8 – 10.5” in height, they have a long, low shedding coat (hypoallergenic) with medium to high grooming requirements. With their happy dispositions they are ideal for families and socialize well with children and other animals.

Having been involved with the dog world for over 30 years in both obedience and conformation with larger breeds, I decided it was time for a smaller breed and after much research have fallen for the Havanese. They are fun to be with, fabulous with children, small enough to go anywhere but big enough to be able to do whatever you ask of them.

The health of my animals is paramount and to this end all our adults will or have been tested for patellas, eyes, heart, elbows and hips and only those with acceptable results will be bred from.
We feed only a RAW diet so you can be assured our dogs are as healthy as nature intended.

Cubana Havanese is one of New Zealand’s first kennels to breed Havanese from top Australian, UK and European blood lines.

We have been privileged to experience the pitter patter of tiny paws with 2 beautiful litters. Firstly our 2008 Christmas day litter of 6 all of which are in loving homes in NZ and Hawaii. Two are now NZ Champions. Our recent handsome litter of 7 born 11th April 2010 is the largest litter born in New Zealand. All 7 are healthy and robust, all to be owned by loving families in both Australia and New Zealand.

Cubana is NOT a business but rather a ‘lifestyle’. Our Bichon Bruin and the Happy Havs are our exceptionally beautiful, fun loving family members living with us unrestricted in our home. We will occasionally breed with the welfare of our Havanese as priority..

We went into this breed because they are the most delightful breed to own, but as we are heavily invovled in the Tibetan Terrier and Lhasa Apso, felt that we would only show a couple of males and then perhaps get a female in about 2 or so years.

If someone wants a companion dog that will definately be part of the family, get on with kids and other pets, the Havanese is the breed for you. They do have a long silky coat which does need regular grooming.
