They are an energetic, fun loving dog that love people's company, especially children. They love to exercise and play but also can be quite content just laying in the sun. They are a healthy breed with a weatherproof coat and can live indoors or out. They have a gentle nature but are true Terriers when the situation warrants it. My pups are house raised and come from parents with wonderful natures. I have been quite successful with showing my dogs, winning Melbourne Royal with 3 of them. My dog, D'arcy is the only living Grand Champion of the breed in Australia and his nature makes him a wonderful ambassador for the breed. I am always happy to talk to anyone about these dogs. I have grown up with Staffords, as Broomesquires Staffordshire kennels was started in the U.K. in 1949 by my parents John and Eileen Sheward. I was given a great education in the breed as I spent time at shows with many of the breeders of the era.
