Ornumflow have been breeding Irish Wolfhounds since 1991 and had most notable and consistent wins against other Irish Wolfhounds with Ch Ornumflow Erik who won the Irish Wolfhound Club of NSW Club Pointscore for 6 consecutive years and also Best of Breed winner at Sydney Royal for 4 consecutive years. To date Ornumflow have bred three dogs achieving Grand Champion status and above - Gr Ch Ornumflow Hagan, Gr Ch Ornumflow Tahnee Lady and the outstanding Supreme Champion Ornumflow Xackery. All dogs are well muscled and run free. Ornumflow hounds are renowned for their good temperament. Puppies are occasionally available to suitable homes. Stud dogs available for use to select bitches. We are a small kennel situated in the Adelaide Hills, concentrating on quality rather than quantity. Health and temperament are equally important to us , prior to breeding any of our hounds, they undergo breed screening heart checks from a veterinary specialist cardiologist and are x-rayed for both hip and elbow dysplasia with official scores publicly available on the Irish Wolfhound Database.
Our imported bitch, Grand Champion Fleetwood Maureen At Creena is the first Irish wolfhound import to gain the title of Grand Champion, an accomplishment we are immensely proud of and her offspring are winning well in Australia , New Zealand and the UK
All the hounds keep extremely fit running on our acreage and some, due to their calm, steady temperament, have been used as service dogs, visiting elderly hospital patients. They are also very devoted to the youngest members of our family; all puppies are given the opportunity to interact with young children whilst being raised at Creena

All dogs bred by us have full complete pedigrees with full registered names in every generation

Conghal is our start in the glorious world of the Irish Wolfhound.

Our aim in the future is to breed healthy and happy purebred Irish Wolfhounds

Tirowen was established in 1972. We have spent over fifty years enjoying the companionship of our beautiful hounds, focusing on breeding the very best to the very best. Over the years we have imported six dogs as well as frozen semen from the best lines available throughout the world including the UK, the US and Europe. Tirowen hounds are bred for good temperament, health, longevity and quality. Over the last 50 years our hounds have won 35 Specialty Best In Shows - largely under overseas breed experts - the most recent in in Sydney, April 2019 under breeder/judge Mr S. LeVan of the USA and also the 2019 Victorian Specialty . Breeding carefully and only occasionally, we are currently into our 15th generation of Tirowen Irish Wolfhounds. Both Francis and Anne are international judges of the breed.

At Tirowen we are one of the pioneers in the breed in Australia, having been committed to this special breed for almost fifty years now. Our first Irish Wolfhound was Ch Erindale Fortuna (imp UK) who came to us late in 1972 and since then we have continued to build the breed, importing dogs and semen from leading bloodlines in Europe, the United Kingdom and America.

Our hounds are first and foremost our companions, bred to be family dogs. We breed for temperament, health, longevity and type. The fruits of our efforts can be seen in many homes here and abroad - but also in the showring where we have an illustrious history. Tirowen owned and/or bred Irish Wolfhounds have achieved the ultimate accolade in the showring winning 37 Best in Shows at Specialties in Australia.

Anne and Francis are both International dog judges and have judged the breed in Europe, the United States, Canada, Ireland and New Zealand at Specialty level.

Our dogs are raised in a family environment, we show and sport with our dogs, showing their versatility, intelligence and giving them an enjoyable outlet for their function. We don't believe in shortcuts and it shows in our dogs. All our dogs are well mannered, enjoy show and sports, are fit for function and meet breed standards.

We have all of our dogs tested correctly - Hearts, hips, shoulders, eyes, liver and DNA.

Our dogs are not in cages or pens and have free roam of our house and yard at all times, they are socialised with horses, pigs, sheep, cats, birds and children. All of our dogs are family members. They are included in everyday activities making them well-rounded and balanced animals. We concentrate on de-sensitising our pups, and they are raised on a farm with children.

All pups that will be available will be sterilised prior to leaving, come with comprehensive puppy packs, complete pedigrees, insurance and life time support.

We have been involved with Irish Wolfhounds since 1974, showing our hounds and breeding under the Greycroft prefix.
We have imported Irish Wolfhounds or semen from the UK, USA, Canada and Europe to assist with breeding the best.
John is one of the founders and is the Secretary of The Irish Wolfhound Club of South Australia.
One of our hounds Supreme Ch Greycroft In Like Flynn "Errol", owned by Kristy Pearcey in Tasmania, became Australia's Top Dog in Canberra, the only Irish Wolfhound to ever qualify for this competition of each States Top Dog under International judges.
John is an International All Breeds dog judge and has judged in many countries around the world including many Irish Wolfhound Specialties. We have had many enjoyable holidays, mostly in the US and Canada.

I have always loved Irish Wolfhounds, and in 2019 bought my first pure bred Wolfhound 'Fern' AKA Houndswood Stars Aurora (AI) to start my own breeding line.
2022 saw 'Fern' have her first litter (2 males, 5 females), sired by imported semen from Bribiba Irish Wolfhounds Scotland - Ballymuckleheany Outlander for Bribiba (IKC) "Bumble"

My dogs are my family, so, good luck getting a spot on the couch!
All puppies have been raised in my home environment with an emphasis on producing healthy, socially adjusted, confident Irish Wolfhounds.
All puppies are registered with Dogs Victoria. Companion puppies will be supplied with Limited registration.

Prospective puppy owners are very welcome to visit and meet my 'pack'. Puppies will be available to approved loving homes only with no hunting. They are all health tested, including Liver shunt testing.
