Klabauter Standard Schnauzers started in 1999, when the breed was chosen for being Austrian/German in origin, its non-shedding coat, versatility, loyalty and temperament. We only have a small number of dogs which share our household, and have produced winners at Sydney and Brisbane Royals and many Champion titled dogs and bitches.

We are dedicated to improving the black Standard Schnauzer in Australia and have imported lots of frozen semen and two studdogs from Europe. Our foundation import Born to Oz Grand Calvera" (Imp Czech Republic) - "Ozzie", son of the World Champion 2008 and a half brother to World Champion 2009 and 2014, is now behind our lines, and hot of the press we have a fresh arrival in 2023 from the Czech Republic - "Yakir Black Grand Calvera" (Imp CZE) - the son of the World Dog Show Winner 2019. "Yakir" has already produced his first litter, and the puppies look exquisite!

Our puppies are brought up with the rough and tumble treatment our kids give them, and fit beautifully into life as family dogs. Expressions of interest taken now for puppies from "Yakir" in late 2024.

We have owned Schnauzers since 1992 starting with a miniature schnauzer. We then obtained our first standard schnauzer in 1993. Our dogs have always been family pets and participated in obedience training as well as showing.
We have always had a very keen interest in the breed. Now our family has grown up, giving us time to concentrate on showing and to start our breeding program. Our foundation dogs are from imported European lines, all have wonderful temperaments as do their parents.
Our aim is to breed quality Schnauzers following the European lines with good temperaments & soundness being a priority.
All our dogs are hip and elbow scored.

Our objective is Standard Schnauzers with wonderful temperaments, outstanding conformation, equally at home as champions in the show ring, as agility and obedience champions, and as the most adorable pets cuddling with their families in the lounge room. I have owned this wonderful Salt & Pepper Schnauzer Breed for nearly 30 years. I was fortunate to have acquired my first pup from Anthea Cunningham who became my respected mentor from Urangeline Kennels all those years ago. From there I was 'hooked' and the rest is history. Our purebred dogs are household members living a very charmed life on acreage, use of a 'personalised' swimming pool and regular Caravanning holidays. My dogs are Conformation Shown regularly attaining Titles and I am proud of their Breed Standard traits including Coat, temperament and soundness. My objective for breeding is only for the replacement and continuance of my line so a litter will not become available very often . Schnauzers are an energetic breed,spirited, sociable & did I mention good looking! They make for a terrific and loyal family dog.( I have no plans for another litter at this time )

We breed delightfully-natured, true to type salt & pepper standard schnauzers who are lovingly and attentively home-reared with close attention to their needs for socialisation and diverse early experience. From English lines, our dogs are strong and healthy with outstanding genetics; our foundation bitch is a much-awarded Australian Champion.

Having shown and owned (been owned by) schnauzers for 25 years, we are well familiar with the breed and will give you ongoing support and encouragement in your schnauzer journey. Our pups come wormed, microchipped, vaccinated and vet checked and are accompanied by a take home puppy pack consisting of their vaccination record, microchip information, a rug and/or toy with the scent of Mum & siblings and, for local homes, 500g of puppy food.

We are a small breeder of Standard Salt and Pepper Schnauzers located in Tweed Heads (NSW/QLD border).

We have only one girl (Lexie) and she is our third child. Lexie is much loved family dog. She has the most wonderful personality, she is very clever dog and she is amazing with little kids.

All our puppies are raised inside the family home with two young children, with plenty of love, attention and cuddles. They have their own bedroom for the comfort and fully fenced outside area to play as well.

All pups are vet checked, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and registered with Dogs NSW.

Also, I had this beautiful breed back in the Czech Republic for over 12 years.

Our journey with this wonderful breed started for us back in 1990 when we purchased our first S/P girl "Gretal "and our love of Schnauzers began.
We believe temperament is number one, as they are family members first and show dogs
second.
Our dogs have done very well over the years at both Adelaide Royal, Melbourne Royal Shows taking out Best of Breed numerous times.

As a Veterinary Nurse in a busy Brisbane practice for a number of years I was always impressed with the temperament & good health of the Standard Schnauzer. With the start of our family I decided that the Standard Schnauzer was the ideal family dog.

We have been breeding Standard Schnauzers since 2001. We breed champion bloodlines with an emphasis on good temperament and conformation.

Our aim is to breed good family and companion dogs that could be shown successfully. All our dogs are an integral part of our family including our young children and other animals.
