Although she won specialty BIS in NZ and a runner up BIS (All Breeds)in Australia in the capable hands of Stephanie Rickard, it was in the whelping box she proved her worth.
Her 1st litter to Ch Wongan Intonator produced Ch Wongan Sthern Silk and Aust & NZ CH Wongan Sthern Satin for David and Steph Rickard.
From her 2nd litter to Shipden Vienna Song(UK) came NZ CH & Field Trial CH Maketawa Momento (owned by Ian and Sheryl Swan) and BIS(All Breeds)winner Ch Maketawa Seranade Me
From her 3rd litter to NZ CH Wongan West Wind came NZ & Aust CH Maketawa Wind Chimes.
In her last two Litters under the Wongan prefix for David and Stephanie Rickard, this to Aust CH Clanach Wrath o Khan she produced NZ & Aust CH Wongan Quest o Maketawa, NZ CH Wongan Tryst o Maketawa, Aust CH Wongan Avant Apache and Ch Wongan Chanson de
Sioux.
Venus is also grand dam to Aust & NZ CH Wongan Chiffon owned by Jo Pardela, who won BIS at the Melbourne Royal.
Venus had wonderful balance, strength and angulation, also great side on gait. She became the basis of our breeding program, and many of her daughters provided an excellent foundation for other kennels.
