We have changed our prefix but that has not changed who we are or our breeding practices. We are happy with our cheeky little monkeys and have been in this breed for nearly 12 years. They are the most gorgeous and endearing breed. One of our Affens started tracking in 2017 and after only a brief training period, she passed her Test 1 with a Good on her third trial. Little Dora will continue tracking in 2018. We are planning a litter in late 2018.

A small kennel located on a farm between Canberra and Goulburn . In 2010, we added Aust Ch Strongfort Nicodemus and then in 2011 Aust Ch Simias Baby Cakes, both campaigned to their titles by us,to our home of Speciality and All Breeds In Show winning Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. Affenpinschers that we bred here and bought in from other kennels and that we have made up to their Aust Ch titles: Elcavel Amazing Grace, Absolutely Amazing, Bohemian Rhapsody, Bohemian Rose , Majomarc Archie, Breshaad Purple Patch all obtaining in group and in show wins on their way to their titles, and just starting off Elcavel Heartsong soon in Baby classes. Congratulations to Leonie Cashman for making up Aust Ch Elcavel Cinderella .
Here at Elcavel we aim for type, soundness, temperament and personality, we hope by combining top international and Australian lines we can achieve this.
We feel that these delightful urchins of the dog world who are filled with lively curiosity and great loyalty are not suited to a kennel life so they should be included in the family. Luckily they are of convenient size to fit almost any lifestyle and tough enough to join in with most activities , they also mix well with other dogs and animals both large and small.
Well loved puppies reared in my home and from health checked parents are occasionally available to caring, approved homes

Athough I have bred and shown dogs since 1978 (Dalmatians and then Griffon Bruxellois), Ch Simias Black Berry Trifle, aka Betty (pictured) is my introduction to these amazing little "monkey dogs". REMPORTER has been a successful kennel for over 30 years breeding Papillons and then Schnauzers. We are now going back to the Toy ring while still showing Schnauzers as well.

We introduce our Affenpinschers Ch Breshaad Affen Hell owned by Jayme Kidd and Handled by Marion Kidd and Kimscott Calamity Jane. We do not breeding Affenpinschers but we are happy to be associated with this lovely breed.

Conditions of Sale for SWAYD Puppies :
SWAYD Affenpinscher’s do not sell puppies for breeding purposes to non show homes. If you are looking for a dog to breed and have no interest in showing your dog in ANKC conformation events, you are looking in the wrong place. All dogs on main register will be co-owned.

Even after having owned Affenpinschers for 20 years daily I find something new to learn about them. They are smart, active dogs who love their humans and canine friends and are a constant source of mischief and delight. Life would be so very dull without them.

I am a member of the MDBA and awarded Breeder of the Year and consistently nominated Master Breeder of the Year. All my dogs are fed a raw diet with care being holistic for their mental and physical wellbeing. I am passionate about the care of my animals as they are my life.

SIMIAS.......from "simia" the Latin for monkey.
SIMIAS kennel was established in 1997 using dogs specially selected for genetic diversity from the HART D kennel in Anchorage, Alaska. Originally located in northern California, we moved with our dogs to NZ in 2003, and in 2010 to N.S.W.
SIMIAS is now become a co-operative effort involving several individuals in three states, all sharing a passion for these special little dogs. In October 2012, two superb young dogs from North Carolina joined the team from the world renowned TAMARIN kennel. Most recently a promising young bitch has been imported from NZ.
Simias has bred multiple show Champions and many,many adored family pets.
Currently top Aust.winning Affen Ch. Simias Satchell Paige, is blazing a trail through Tasmania, expertly guided by owner Leone Cashman. In Victoria, Affen ambassador extrodinaire, Grand Ch. Simias Blackberry Trifle "Betty" continues to win fans wherever she is shown by owner Sally Stewart. And it's not just about looks, Chris Barron Qld. has made Simias Wavy Gravy, RE CDX, Australasia's highest awarded Affenpinscher (ever!) in the sport of Obedience. Warmest congratulations to all.
Di Masling NSW, now a co-owner, has a huge role raising our puppies.
