We have been involved with the breed for well over 18 years. Our Affenpinschers are championed in the show ring as well as dog sports. They are the most gorgeous and endearing breed and are very happy, cheeky little monkeys. One of our Affens started tracking in 2017. Dora (Aust Ch Favreau My Little China Girl) has passed Test 2 but Covid-19 slowed our training progress - hopefully 2024 will see us trialling again.
We are not planning any litters for the foreseeable future

A small kennel located on a farm between Canberra and Goulburn . In 2010, we added Aust Ch Strongfort Nicodemus and then in 2011 Aust Ch Simias Baby Cakes, both campaigned to their titles by us,to our home of Speciality and All Breeds In Show winning Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. Affenpinschers that we bred here and bought in from other kennels and that we have made up to their Aust Ch titles: Elcavel Amazing Grace, Absolutely Amazing, Bohemian Rhapsody, Bohemian Rose, Cinderella , Heartsong, Black Opal ,Grand Ch Majomarc Archie, Breshaad Purple Patch and recently Elcavel Keepsake, Top Billing & I'm Impressive & Ch Majomarc Diablo Cito V Kazari, all obtaining in group and in show wins on their way to their titles.
Here at Elcavel we aim for type, soundness, temperament and personality, we hope by combining top international and Australian lines we can achieve this.
We feel that these delightful urchins of the dog world who are filled with lively curiosity and great loyalty are not suited to a kennel life so they should be included in the family. Luckily they are of convenient size to fit almost any lifestyle and tough enough to join in with most activities , they also mix well with other dogs and animals both large and small.
Well loved puppies reared in my home and from health checked parents are occasionally available to caring, approved homes

Majomarc kennel is founded on the Tani Kazari lines - the home of GCH Banana Joe V Tani Kazari, Best in Show at the 2013 Westminster KC Show in New York. Our Aust Supreme CH Cassius Clay V Tani Kazari was Show Dog of The Year Qld 2016 and Top Affenpinscher Nationally in 2016.
Supreme Ch Majomarc Bogart Kazari has followed his father's footsteps.
Supreme Ch Majomarc Dartagnan V Kazari is being shown in Tasmania by Trudi Counsell and is proving to be an outstanding boy, recently winning the 'Contest of Champions' 2022. Dart also was BIS at Hobart Royal 2021.
Majomarc Graphite Kazari is now Australian Champion winning her class in groups, her brother Majomarc Gandalf Kazari is now also an Australian Champion.
Majomarc Diablo Cito V Kazari has also started his show career here in Queensland, another of Clay's beautiful sons.
At Majomarc we breed for quality, temperament and health.

Our first Affenpinscher is our affectionate monkey boy Zeus (Champion Elcavel Invincible Heart) which we purchased in 2018. The next monkey addition to our family is our very sweet girl Rhea (Vonkery Toasted Teacake) purchased in 2019.

I have had Affenpinschers for approximately ten years when my beloved Tonichi Black Gypsy (Gretel) entered my life and I would now never be without one. Loyal, delightful, funny, endearing... all in a tiny (usually black) hairy little package. What's not to love?

I am aiming to breed sound, healthy, quality dogs. Next litter due around May 2024.

SIMIAS.......from simia the Latin for monkey.
SIMIAS kennel was established in 1997 using dogs specially selected for genetic diversity from the HART D kennel in Anchorage, Alaska. Originally located in northern California, we moved with our dogs to NZ in 2003, . In October 2012, two superb young dogs from North Carolina joined the team from the world renowned TAMARIN kennel.
Simias has bred multiple show Champions and many,many adored family pets.
Supreme Ch. Simias Satchell Paige, blazed a trail through Tasmania, expertly guided by owner Leone Cashman. In Victoria, Affen ambassador extrodinaire, Grand Ch. Simias Blackberry Trifle Betty won fans wherever she was shown by owner Sally Stewart. And it's not just about looks, Chris Barron Qld. has made Simias Wavy Gravy, RE CDX, Australasia's highest awarded Affenpinscher (ever!) in the sport of Obedience. Warmest congratulations to all.

SIMIAS came home to NZ in 2019 and some lovely babies have since been imported and bred. Covid paused several show careers but dedicated Afficianados are out there with more promising young dogs and lots of sofas have adored supervising Affens keeping an eye on their families.
