We have been breeding ASTCD's for almost 30 years.We try to breed the best we possibly can, using only quality dogs and bitches.. Cumbydene is known for type, conformation and temperament.We are proud to say that, to our knowledge, every pup sold to a show home has gained its title-the same can be said for working homes-they love to work and, as pets, they are simply good dogs!
In the past year, we have added four new Champions to Cumbydene, joining many others over the past years, such as Cumbydene Blue Gum, Tassie Bound, Wishuponastar and Moon Dancer. Success at the last EKKA was very pleasing and followed past successes at Royals - we hope for more in the future, as our young dogs grow and mature..Our main stud dog was CH Aravan Inspector Morse who has since passed away, and now our junior stud dog, Au CH Karte Mighty Redman following in his footsteps, he has Sired Baby puppy in Show, multi baby puppy in groups, and his Progeny are lovely natured, true to type dogs.
Cumbydene stumpies are suited to many aspects in the dog world from showing to working to pet We strive for quality in all of our dogs..

I have been involved with ASTCD since 1992.

Our main goal, is to breed good quality, true to type, sound dogs, for Showing, Working, dog sports, guard and family. We're also working hard to raise awareness of this breed by the general public and to keep the breed alive. We have spent the last couple of years gathering bloodlines to diversify what we already have and to preserve them.
We will have 2 stud dogs available this year with Cumbydene Achilles my premier stud dog bringing in new bloodlines, Tropicrain Jas Akai whose daughter Tropicrain Eye of the Tempest is proving to be a great breeding bitch with the right male. Joining them next year is Cumbydene Tassie Bound who should produce some outstanding pups and hopefully a red male in the next year or so.
More of our babies are entering the show world and this year they did not disappoint gaining the best results yet for us. We have a couple who are working and their owners are pleased with them and several are very good guard dogs and of course loved family members.
We also export. We ask for a $300 non refundable deposit to secure a pup. Our Mains Registered dogs sell for $3000, exports $4000 to cover extra costs incurred and limited registered pups $1000. We will be only breeding for orders or if we want to keep one ourselves at this time.
Puppies will be available.

I have had Australian Stumpy Tail Cattle Dogs since 2014, registered ASTCD since 2020.
My goal is to breed sound puppies utilising available DNA and health testing and hearing testing. I am passionate about preserving this iconic, vulnerable, Australian breed, and producing dogs with balanced temperaments.
All litters will be raised with Puppy Culture protocols and video evidence of this will be provided to potential Puppy owners.

My dogs are active in Conformation showing, SprintDog, Rally Obedience, Trick Dog, Lure Coursing and my male has passed his Endurance Trial in July 2023.
Both of my dogs have several sporting titles.

My dogs have also been in cattle and sheep yards under the supervision of a working dog trainer on multiple occasions, they both show natural instinct and drive to work stock.

I am not a volume breeder and will be selective about the homes my puppies go to.

I have owned trained and lived with the following dog breeds- Irish Setter, GSD, ACD, ASTCD, Doberman, Gordon setter and back to the ASTCD from 2017.
We have only and will only breed when a new family member is an option for us - so puppies are very rare.

Stumpies are a working dog and do best with a job to do and as such aren't for everyone!
