"Amy" was number one Borzoi Bitch in Australia, at under 2 years of age and was the First Endurance Titled Borzoi in Australia - proving to be more than just good looks.

Strikeness Sighthounds, established in 1980, seriously concentrating on Borzoi since 2002.
Our aims are to rear healthy hounds along the principles of Juliette de Bairacli Levy. We seek to breed honest hounds with good hunting instincts that can do the job they were designed for. To do this we think type, balance and temperament important.
Dogs that can hunt, course and win in the ring. For us and for others. For the past few years dogs carrying the Strikeness prefix have consistently taken top honours in the NZ Borzoi pointscore as well as in the breed on Dogzonline pointscore.

Involved with the breed for over 25 years we have also imported strong lines from the U.K. and Sweden to give our kennel a distinctive look. We strive for a Borzoi that not only is elegant but is functional and with the correct movement!

Gleneagle Borzoi make a wonderful addition to any family, for show or companionship.
Forty years' experience with Borzoi breeding and showing. Carefully and responsibly bred puppies, raised lovingly in our home. The puppies are well handled and socialized. Registered with Dogs Victoria. Vaccinated, micro-chipped and wormed. Prospective guardians must be responsible, have secure fencing and have the time to train and exercise a Sighthound. We are happy to announce that we are expecting a litter on February 6, 2024.
Cloudland Borzoi established 2018 – however, I have been owned by the breed since 2005.
Cloudland dogs are health tested for degenerative myopathy, cardiac, thyroid, eye and are also DNA profiled.
Breeding for coat colour is my passion, in line with ideal temperament, quality conformation and optimum health being the priority for my breeding program. You will find that I leave no stone unturned when it comes to researching the quality breeding protocols for this beautiful and historically fascinating Borzoi breed.
Next Litter Planned: November, 2024We have been showing and breeding hounds since 1972. In 1988 we acquired our first Borzoi followed in 1989 by a Deerhound. Due to business commitments, we exhibit our dogs only sparingly. Despite this our Borzois have done well in the showring and on the coursing field. We have imported frozen semen from Teine Borzois in the USA of males that have both show and coursing titles. Although we prefer the darker colours, temperament is the most important attribute we breed for. All our dogs are housedogs and part of the family.
