Sarsica Miniature Dachshund Kennels have been breeding since 1995 with the utmost enjoyment and success that has been shared by this family orientated breed. We have won many Best of Breeds both at Sydney Royals and Melbourne Royals over the years.
We have established our breeding lines on the English imported dogs we have selectively chosen to use.
Our miniatures both longhair and smooth hair are of correct size and of beautiful type and temperamant.

I'm taking expressions of interest for 2=3 litters of sound show quality puppies that I am planning very soon with genes coming from some of Australia's top lines.. In particular, I'm interested in hearing from other breeders, as well as people looking for pets.

Any one line enquiries just asking if I have puppies and how much they cost will be ignored and deleted. Please make an effort and tell me about the home that you have to offer.

I need to make this very clear - due to their personalities, the Miniature Long Haired Dachshund is an active dog and not a breed that is suitable to living in an apartment. They need a securely fenced grassy yard (not a small courtyard, or an apartment) to play freely in. They do like to bark as well.

We are a small family breeder of miniature long haired dachshunds. We breed our dachshunds for their temperaments and also for conformation to the ANKC standards as well as screening dogs I breed with for PRA, SDMD, Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis, Sanfilippo Syndrome. Archie and Lillie, my foundation dachshunds lines can be traced back to arriving from the UK in the early 1970's.

Our dogs are bred in a family home living with our family - not in kennels and from the day they are born are exposed to noises in our daily life. I also give puppies Early Neurological Stimulation from birth.

Have owned and bred initially toy poodles since 1970 and long haired miniature dachshunds since 1990. The dachshunds are a delightful little dog who will meet most of what you desire in a dog as your pet. Intelligent, loyal and loving. They enjoy interaction with others so puppy school or any advanced form of doggy education is always met with delight
I have been exhibiting my dogs since 1970 and for me it has become a pleasant social sport and over the years I have made some lifelong friendships

Small breeder and new exhibitor of miniature long-haired dachshunds. Have been researching the breed, pedigrees, and structure + function since 2017. My lines are largely international to improve the genetic diversity seen in Australia, and include some beautiful lineages seen globally.

My primary focus for my fur-children is to ensure their health and the health of their babies. I extensively study pedigrees and biomechanics of movements plus perform health testing to maximise the health of my children.

We back score our parents. This is an x ray protocol well-researched from Finland that looks at the calcifications in the spine. These scores are used to determine the inherited risk of ivdd. I try to pair with well known lines, or to dogs that have been scored

We also have had their knees, hips and elbows assessed and graded to assess the risk of potentially inherited hip dysplasia (not common, but still happens), patella (knee) subluxation (the tendency to dislocate), and elbow dysplasia (uncommon in small breeds)

PRA (progressive retinal atrophy, a type of blindness) is tested on all adults, and pairings for breeding will be performed to ensure there is no chance pups will be affected by PRA.

My puppies are all raised in my home, as part of the family. They are raised with Early Neurological Stimulation in the first 2 weeks, and Puppy Culture Socialising protocol to engage their social skills and development to form well-rounded puppies ready for their new life.

We are a small kennel based just outside Ballarat , We are striving for excellent type and temperament and our foundation dogs are hopefully the beginning of a long relationship with the breed . All 3 dogs are currently Aust Champ Title holders . We have a mixture of beautiful Australian and Imported bloodlines . Our DNA profiles that have so far been submitted are 7 Panel Negative to genetic faults . Enquires are very welcome about future show prospects or simply pets for life long home's when puppy's are available .
