.We started with breeding Bull Terrier and Mini Bull Terriers for many years and been the owner of the beautiful Portuguese Water Dogs for 20 years never started into breeding them for 6 years later until we learnt all we needed to know about health testing and well fair of this breed We have imported from American 11 new dogs lines into our breeding programs

I acquired my first PWD in 2002 and she is the ONLY Conformation, Obedience and Endurance Test titled PWD bitch in Australia - Grand Ch Luerace Coco Chanel C.D.X., E.T. "Holly Dog". Her son holds similar titles Ch Rulett Dive Dive Dive C.C.D., R.N., E.T.

She is also the FIRST and ONLY Australian Bred PWD to hold these titles and the FIRST PWD bitch to become a Grand Champion in Australia.

Holly Dog is by far the most Show, Obedience and Working titled PWD in the country.

I imported a bitch in whelp from Sweden in May 2006 - Biley's Happy Hazard - and she whelped a litter of 6 on June 16th, from Swedish Ch Gnupens Skoningslosa Matrix (Sweden). There were 6 puppies in the litter, 2 dogs and 4 bitches, and I kept a dog and bitch, Rulett Set Thsails Foroz (IID) "Wombat" and Rulett Devocean (IID) "Miss Pringle", to go on with.

Both became Aust Champions and Wombat has also gained his Supreme Champion and Endurance Test titles.

Hazard also gained her Australian and Swedish Champion titles and whelped a litter of three pups in April 2008 to Ch Sunnyhill Quicksilver Wind N Sails (Imp USA).

Hazard and Holly Dog are my foundation bitches.

I have imported/used breeding stock from Sweden, Norway, Canada, USA, NZ, UK and exported stock to Sweden, U.S.A., Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Hawaii and New Zealand.

All my breeding stock is CHEDS Hip and Elbow x-rayed/scored, DNA/gene tested for PRA, JDCM, GM1, DM, colour and ACES Eye Certified (litters inc.)

Arcticpalace have been involved with Portuguese Water Dogs for approx. 15 years now.

We were the proud owners of our very lovely Foundation Portuguese Water Dogs. aquiring our first "Roque" starting out in 2005 and "Raquel" our second purchased from Dassin in Qld. (the founders of the breed in Aust)and are the 2 youngest Grand titled Porties in Australia.
Roque - BIS GR CH Dassin you Beta Believe it our Brown & White Wavy boy, Grand titled at 19 months of age and was a Best in Show winner before he turned 2yrs.
Raquel - Gr Ch Dassin Perfect drift(ai)Grand titled at 2yrs,4 months months, she is our Black & White Curly girl (first curly to live and be exhibited in NSW)
Our other 2 that were part of our foundation were "Pedro" and "Annie" all who are sadly no longer with us passing of old age from 11+ to 14+ years.

We have gone on to breed many Champions, Grand Champions and Supreme Champions under the Arcticpalace prefix and have made ourselves and many people very happy to own their own Portie puppies to which we have met and made many wonderful friends through.

All our dogs are DNA tested, Optigen eye tested A(clear) or B (carrier) no C (affected) and are hip and Elbow X rayed and scored before breeding.

We are happy to be contacted at anytime to provide information and assistance on this wonderful Non shedding, low Allernic, loving breed and especially make ourselves available at all times to our puppies owners.

We breed for health and soundness, type and temperement..
Our foundation bitch "CH Dassin Lets Rock Th Boat" produced 11 puppies from 2 litters, 6 have been shown and all are IN SHOW winners. The other 5 have happy homes with there pet owners.

We now have two imported males from Casa Hoya kennels in the Netherlands:
Grand Champion Casa Hoya Dare Devil Go Get Em, who is a MULTI BIS winner, and also producinng BIS winners.
Casa Hoya In Da Club, is well on his way to his Australian title.He gained his dutch Junior CH befor comming to Australia.
All of our dogs are health tested and we are happy to provide coppies of the test results.
We are happy to provide on going help, support and information to all our puppy owners,or to people interested in the breed.
The Portuguese Water Dog is non shedding and low allergenic to many people with allergies.
It is a highley intelligent dog strong and self willed.It needs plenty of exercise and regular grooming.It is not a dog that will suit everybody.

“Hudson” Ch Ryzylva Wish Upon A Star is enjoying Rally O trialling. He achieved his RN, RA, RE and RAE titles in 6 months, only starting in Rally at the Qld State titles in June 2017.

“Opal” Ryzylva Kia Kaha RN RA RE RAE is our working girl. She loves Rally O. She too commenced her Rally career at the Qld state titles in June 2017. She achieved her RN, RA and RE titles in 5 months with time off for motherhood.

Littermates Conrad, CH Ryzylva Wishes N Dreams, and Yasmin, CH Ryzylva Three Wishes, both titled easily at 8 months, are multi Class in Group and Show winners. Conrad has qualified for Qld Puppy of the Year competition, and is already a Runner up in Group winner. He placed in top 4 for Best Puppy in Group at Sydney Royal 2019.

All breeding stock health tested, including hips/elbows, PRA, GM1 and JDCM. Results of health tests available on application.

We breed sparingly, only to improve the breed.
