Obenschutz is home of the well nurtured and happy Rottweilers. Excellent genetics and temperament. Our goal first and foremost to breed family dogs. As a former corrections officer in a supermax security facility in the United States, I worked with various breeds. When I came to Australia and traveled for work in the security industry, I would leave my wife, who is a doctor, home alone. So I chose the Rottweiler because I wanted a loyal, intelligent, easily trainable dog to be her guardian and companion. I was fortunate enough to find a highly intelligent working line Rottweiler, who is just as physically suited to military and police work and still take to shops, festivals and beach during the day, and be a couch potato and cuddle bug while watching tv at night. Our boy Hunter is trim and muscular with a regal presence. He has a large proportionate and handsome head, athletic body and drive. When picking a female, I wanted to complement Hunter's strengths and temperament. Our female Ziva is athletic with a nice head and a solid build. She has a chilled personality, is highly intelligent and loyal with great guarding instincts. With the combination of these two amazing parents, we are expecting some outstanding family guardians and companions to be the newest members of your family.

Tykerna is a small select kennel of beautiful Rottweilers. We strive for not only success in the show ring but for the breed characteristics in temperament. I have over 30 years experience in Rottweilers and am a licensed Group 6 and Rottweiler specialist judge, judging Rottweilers both in Australia and overseas. I have shown in excess of 50 dogs to their NRC(A) Champions, Australian Championship titles and multiple Grand and Supreme Champions. All of our puppies are raised in a loving home environment around our small children and other small animals.

Our Patriarch Harley has great strength and workability and strong guarding qualities while being quite happy inside and part of the family or trialing in ANKC obedience. He has produced wonderful sound offspring, confident and with strong characters. Great boning and good movement. Our bitches have good nerve, tenacity and prey drive, whilst being a great family dog who are very social. Excellent movement and type. Klimkie Kennels have been operating since the 1980's. We started out small with showing and obedience training our dogs. Our dogs were generally trained to grade 5 obedience and some were trained in agility and participated in trials. We then moved into breeding our own dogs with a specific emphasis on temperament and willingness to work. Our current line has been bred with these characteristics in mind.
