Stop Press: The 2008 Regional show at the National in Olympia, Washing State Tokay, makes the cut to the final 6 special bitches and is one of 10 to receive the prestigious Award of Merit ! We are so proud.

Tokay's first show back at 13months old after being out of coat and not being shown, wins the Major and Best Opposit Sex in California and is now an American Champion.

Tokay sets another record for Koolrunnings being the FIRST Australian Bred Female Alaskan Malamute to obtain her American Championship. Our dogs are competitive against the tough competition in California, USA.

Tokay made the journey to USA to become part of the Terraglo Team. Tokay's USA show debut was an all breeds puppy match and Tokay was awarded BEST PUPPY IN SHOW.

Her next two shows Tokay took Best of Winners with majors.

My breeders, more importantly my friends Terry and Gloria graciously gave me my foundation, my start and my top dog - Miss Splash. One condition Miss Splash came to Australia was that Terry and Gloria come to visit her the next year. This started a pattern of bi-annual visits to Australia and in the in-between years, I would go to USA to the Nationals and help Terry and Gloria.

On Terry and Gloria's last visit in July 2005, we took holidays to the Rutherglen Wine area in Victoria. Our 3rd shared passion, Dogs / good food / Vineyards. Rutherglen is famous for it's fortified wines. In particular, we all enjoyed the Tokay. A smooth, rich dreamy special drop. It was this shared holiday we spent taking bets on how many puppies Miss Splash would have in her last litter.
