"Nessie".
After meeting "Nessie" for the first time at her home at Stirling Aires (MA) in December 2017 and revisiting her 12 months later she finally arrived in Australia in mid-January 2019. "Nessie" has settled into her new home at Lachindale Retreat so well and enjoys playing with her great uncle, Oscar (Am Grd & Aust Supreme Ch Stirling Wildside Eclipse, Imp USA), as well as her other Airedale friends and Mishka the Hungarian Vizlsa.
Pedigree Background
Her breeding is the melding of so many excellent Airedales bred by or from Stirling lines with one of her great uncles being the outstanding multi group and in show winning Airedale, Am Ch Stirling Cool Hand Luke (Lucas)...the winner of the Airedale Bowl at the breed specialty conducted at the Montgomery Kennel Club Terrier specialty show in 2008 and 2009.
Another great uncle, Am Ch Stirling Made Of Honor (Ian), won Best Opposite Sex in 2011 and then a daughter of Nessie's great Grand sire, Grd Ch Darling's Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds (Lucy) won the Airedale Bowl twice at the Montgomery Kennel Club show in 2014 and then 2016.
In addition to these prestigious wins Am Grd & Aust Supreme Ch Stirling Wildside Eclipse (Imp USA), Oscar, won Best Opposite Sex at the Westminster Kennel Club show in New York city in February 2014, 2 weeks before arriving in Australia. Oscar then went on to attain his Australian title in a little over 1 month with Best In Specialty Show at the Airedale Terrier of New South Wales Specialty, BOB at the Sydney Royal 2014, Best in Show at the Newcastle Terrier & Toy show and a further 2 Best In Terrier Groups. Oscar then went on to win many more Best & Runner Up Best in Specialty shows, Best In Group, Runner Up Best In Group, class in group and in show awards leading up to him gaining his Supreme & Grand Champion titles.

US & Australian Show Career
"Nessie" enjoyed a very brief show career gaining 12 or her 15 points to her Am Ch title, however, due to strict Australian quarantine requirements it was more important for her to relocate to Australia than stay in the USA to gain the remaining 3pts in the new year. During my last trip in December 2018 to help prepare "Nessie" for her move Down Under I was pleased to be able to show her against strong competition gaining a 4pt major, 1 of the 3 majors she attained when shown.
"Nessie" will commence her show career in Australia later in 2019 once she has completed her maternal duties. I'm so looking forward to people meeting and watching the "Pocket Rocket" in action in the show ring.
