This spirited bitch not only fits the Shetland Sheepdog conformation standard but displays all the necessary attributes of a true working dog and she’s built accordingly. A six plus years quality bitch ticked all my boxes. Here is a show girl at its best and she knows it and works it well. Her height to length ratio is perfect.
Her head offers smooth lines and is well-proportioned to her body. Her lovely almond/oblique eyes and excellent ear placement good firm underjaw and this all comes together to present the sweetness of expression
but also with a certain eagerness in her eye. Neck is of excellent length flowing into a beautiful level topline.
Good substance of body and good spring of rib.
Good shoulder angulation with her front assembly sitting well under her body.
Excellent turn of stifle and hocks well let down. Bone throughout is strong but not heavy. A shaded sable with a full white collar and just the right amount of coat which fitted her well in all the right places and does not hide anything.
Movement for this spirited girl was as I would have expected - good reach and drive and “controlled” carefully by her handler. A top-quality bitch. I was pleased to award her Challenge Bitch – Open In Show and Best In Show.
